The Angle Food Ministry Is HERE!

Angel Food is a food ministry that provides large quantities of quality food at a reduced cost. Angel Food is available to anyone regardless of income.

Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality as the food purchased at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork.

The cost of each unit is $30.00. Each month’s menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $50.00 - $60.00. There is no limit to the number of units or specialty foods an individual can purchase.

The food must be ordered and paid for in advance. Cash, checks, and food stamps are accepted.

Once each month on a Saturday, the food will be delivered to Toney UMC for distribution. Participants need to bring something to carry their food in. Coolers are highly encouraged to keep products cool.

FAITH WEAVER FRIENDS

The children are practicing for our Christmas Program "An Old Fashioned Christmas" to be presented on Sunday December 16th at 6:00pm. We practice Sunday evenings at 6:15.

The UMW is collecting items for the Madison Cross Road and Sparkman Middle school clinics.  We invite you to help us help the schools.  You can bring the following items to church and we will take them to the schools. Lysol, Kleenex, and washing soap (not hand sanitizer), Tampons, cold packs, tape that sticks to itself (like the Red Cross uses), knee band aids, Underwear boys and girls size 4 and larger, paper towel, flip flops or other shoes, regular Calamine lotion, juice boxes, crackers ( not peanut butter), and fruit cups.

Thanks a lot.
